Delete your Tether Health account

Delete your account in the app

Deleting your account deletes your data in every program. It cannot be undone. If you want a copy, export it first from "Your data".

1. 1Open the Tether Health app and sign in.
2. 2On Today, tap your avatar at the top to open Account.
3. 3Tap "Your data".
4. 4Under Delete, tap "Delete account and all data".
5. 5Type DELETE to confirm, then enter your password. If you signed in with Apple or Google, confirm with that same account instead.
6. 6Tap "Delete everything".
7. 7The app shows a deletion receipt and signs you out on that phone. Keep the receipt ID if you contact support.

If your app shows "Settings & privacy"

1. Open "Settings & privacy".
2. Under "Your data", tap "Delete account and data".
3. Enter your password, type DELETE and confirm.

Delete one program's data

You can leave a single program and delete only its data, without deleting your account.

1. Open Account, then "Programs & sharing", and tap the program.
2. Under Data, tap "Leave" followed by the program name, for example "Leave BreatheFree".
3. Choose to delete that program's data now, for example "Delete BreatheFree data now", and confirm. Reminders for that program stop right away, and your other programs are not affected.

If you leave a program and keep its data, it is kept until you delete it or delete your account.

If you cannot sign in

If you have forgotten your password, reset it from the sign-in screen first and then follow the steps above.

Or email support@tetherhealthgroup.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Tether Health account". You do not need the app to ask.

What is deleted

Deleting your account deletes, from our servers:

• your profile, display name and profile photo
• your age range, sleep and stress answers, and your consent choices
• the programs you joined, with their plans and setup answers
• your check-ins, readings, logs and other program entries, Rescue use and lesson progress
• your reminder and notification settings
• the supporters, caregiver and care-team connections you set up, and the records of what you shared through them
• your sign-in account

What is kept

Copies in backups and logs are kept until those backups and logs expire.

A summary you sent to a care team, or a message you sent to a supporter from your phone, stays with the people who received it.

Deleting your account does not delete any copy you exported yourself.

Data on your phone

Deleting your account signs you out on that phone. If you used the app on this phone only, without an account, your data is kept on your phone.

To be confirmed: which data on the phone is cleared when a signed-in account is deleted.

To remove everything the app keeps on your phone, uninstall the app, or on Android go to Settings > Apps > Tether Health > Storage > Clear storage.
